When are you available for pictures?
Generally, I am free on weekends and weekday evenings after 6 PM. I avoid the hours of 11 AM - 2 PM for outdoor sessions if possible.
What are your favorite locations for photos?
Neighborhoods throughout DC provide amazing backdrops – think of the colorful, architecturally detailed rowhouses and red brick sidewalks found throughout the city. DC offers white limestone of government buildings, the views from bridges over the Potomac, and beautiful parks and gardens. I want customers to find the place that is most meaningful to them. Your front porch or your favorite brunch spot might be the best backdrop for your photos.
What subjects/occasions do you photograph?
I photograph couples, families, kids, and pets. I also do portraits for professional head shots or for online dating profiles. At this time, I do not photograph weddings, but I will do smaller events like anniversaries and birthday parties.
What is your cancellation policy?
I understand – life happens, and you need to feel your best for photos. If you need to cancel due to illness or emergency, I will work with you to reschedule at your earliest convenience. There is no charge for rescheduling.
What do you about bad weather during our session?
I like to schedule a back-up date in case the weather is not amenable to outdoor shots. I’ll check the weather in advance of our session and try to reschedule as soon as possible if bad weather is expected.
What can I do with the photos once I have the digital files?
All subjects have personal printing rights to their photos. This means you can post them on social media or make physical prints for home use. No watermark will appear on your digital files, and your session entitles you to every digital file from the shoot. There are many great services available for making prints, photo books, cards, and other media to share with friends and family.
Will my pictures appear in your online portfolio?
All subjects can choose whether or not their photos appear on my online portfolio by signing a release. I am grateful if you allow me to share an image or two from our experience, but I fully respect your preference. If you allow your photos to appear in the portfolio, I will not provide any details that could be used to identify the photo subjects. I will also never sell any images from customer sessions to stock photo services.
